Imogen Long is a stone sculptor based in London. She specialises in hand-carved low relief and has developed a unique approach to this art, creating highly textured surfaces often depicting shifting patterns through subtle changes in line and surface, resulting in pieces with inherent movement and yet also an overriding sense of calm. The pieces are designed to be explored through touch as well as through sight.

She has undertaken numerous commissions, and has work on permanent display at Drapers’ Hall and Imperial College. Her work is also found in several private collections.

Imogen trained at City & Guilds of London Art School, where she studied both carving and lettering. After graduating she continued to study lettering, mentored by Richard Kindersley. In conjunction with relief sculpture, she undertakes lettering commissions, a selection of which can be seen here:
